Redemption — Heroic Youth 2026
This year’s theme, Redemption, invites every youth to discover the life-changing power of Jesus Christ’s grace. In a world that often feels heavy, redemption reminds us that no mistake is final, no heart is too broken, and no hurt is beyond repair. Through Him, second chances aren’t rare — they are His promise. The spirit of Les Misérables beautifully illustrates this truth: a single act of mercy can transform a soul, reshape a future, and turn bitterness into hope. Like Jean Valjean, each of us is invited to lay aside our past and embrace a new identity — one made possible by the Savior’s love.Brad Wilcox teaches in His Grace Is Sufficient that Christ’s grace is not just a finishing touch after our best efforts — it is the enabling power that helps us become more than we could ever manage alone. We don’t earn redemption; we accept it, and then we allow it to change us from the inside out.Sister Kristin M. Yee declared in The Joy of Our Redemption, “Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is mighty to save… He holds the power of redemption and resurrection… He has made possible immortality for all and eternal life for those who choose Him.” Through that power, the Savior not only forgives us — He heals us, lifts us, and restores us.In Heroic Youth 2026, we aim to create experiences where heroes rise not because they are flawless, but because they let Christ rewrite their endings. Redemption is the heart of every true hero. As we learn of Him, lean on Him, and choose Him — He transforms who we are, and who we are becoming.
