Declare Yourself a Warrior for Christ

So you want to be a Warrior. Think about what this really means. As a warrior, you must know who your enemy is, who your commander is, what you are fighting for, and who can help you in this battle.

Who is Your Enemy?

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The battle is real, but it is not always a physical battle that you can see. Don’t ever be tricked into thinking that any living person is truly your enemy. If they act like they are it is only because they are in bondage to the real enemy.

The real enemy is Satan, and he is waging war against you! He sends attacks on your body, mind, and spirit. He wants to destroy your peace, your family, and your future. He sets traps of sin for you to fall into. He whispers lies to lead you astray. He aims fiery darts to enflame your emotions.

Who Is Your Commander?

Joshua 24:15
Choose you this day whom ye will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:3
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Declare yourself a Warrior for Christ. The Lord of all creation is your High Commander. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-loving. You can trust Him to lead you in all things. If you follow His commands, you will have safety and peace.

Jesus was willing to lay down His life for you, He has conquered death and sin. He is your truest friend and He calls you to follow Him.

What Are You Fighting For?

Moroni 7:12-13

All things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually. But that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.

This is a battle of good versus evil, and it is a battle for souls. You have the light of Christ to help you know good from evil, follow that light. Rise up and fight for good. With Jesus as the Savior of your soul, you can win every battle.

Are You On Your Own In This Battle?

2 Kings 6:16
Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

When you are on the Lord’s side, you are supported by warrior angels! Also, how awesome it is to know that just as He said, God is with you!
